Trustee Profiles
Doug Duke
The newest member of
the Heritage Community Trust, Douglas Duke has been a proud resident of
Upper Stoney Creek since 1997 when he and his wife determined
that the community’s many wonderful amenities and lovely open
spaces provided the ideal environment to raise a family. Over the past
few years, Doug has worked as a volunteer for Stoney Creek Jr. B Warriors
and enjoys his role as the team’s public address announcer for
home games played at Valley Park Arena. Currently the executive officer
of the Hamilton-Halton Home Builders’ Association, Doug is acutely
aware of the importance of finding ways to strengthening a community
for the benefit of its residents, its businesses and its various groups
and organizations. It is for this reason that he chose to get involved
and assist the tremendously dedicated citizens already sitting on the
Trust. As a new father of a beautiful baby girl, Doug is keen to ensure
that Upper Stoney Creek remains a wonderful
and vibrant community so that future generations will be able to enjoy
it to its fullest potential. By sitting on the Heritage Community Trust,
it is Doug’s hope that he’ll be able to play a small role
in helping to realize that goal.
